Common mistake: be used to sth

When be used to is followed by a verb, that verb cannot be in the infinitive without 'to'.

Do not say 'be used to do something', say be used to doing something:

I am used to work flexible hours.

I am used to working flexible hours.

Hi. Thanks
Question:
About which verbs we can say "I use to do" without "ing"?

Hi Jasmine,

You can use "used to" to say that sth always happened in the past and it doesn't happen any more, for example:

I used to live in Zahedan. (It means that I don't live there any more)

When I was younger, I used to watch TV for more than 5 hours.

Please notice that the pronunciation of used to in these examples is  / just tə /
